i just started like 3 days ago and i got running man up to 130-140bpm and t step up to 120ish is that good?

just work on getting the right posture and procedures while starting slow dont rush it to fast or itll end up in failure, I first learned about it from a friend and then a year later i remember and gave it a try and now im kinda hooked mainly cause its one of my fav. forms of music and because its fun Smiley though first month was full of fail cause i tended to fail and do terrible :S

Well I'd started getting into trance/tech in 05 then in 06 i went to my first club (3D) with my ex and saw it for the first time. I remember thinking, yeah i wana be able to do that. So i went home and searched up on youtube and found bigmilan. I saved his vids to my phone and practiced anywhere and everywhere. At the time i worked in a furniture store alone so id go out back and just practice all day. i had the basics and stuff down after about 4 months.
None of my mates were into it which sucked but i stuck with it anyway. I started before the hardstyle movement which might be why people all say i have an old school style.
Ive now been shuffling for nearly 3 years and still get the same feeling i always have. I fukn love it.

when i first started [27 days ago] i would also get discouraged because i would watch too much shuffle videos on youtube then go out and do it and keep asking myself WHY DOESNT IT LOOK LIKE THOSE VIDEOS?! [if you just began like me, dont ever compare yourself to pros on youtube]

anyway, i still consider myself a NOOB, so from noob to noob, all i can say is practice. the more you do it the better youll get, dont give up ;]

I started with the T-step... n just did  that for about 3 weeks b4 i incorporated the rm.

I remember the first shuffle vid i saw... um that one filmed by sacco with mikki vs row(common no? xD) but to be honest i thought it looked kool because it looked like gliding across the floor but also i thought it was stupid because i fn hated their raver cloths. over time i got decent at dnb steppin', got bored, n then i tried the melb shuffle.

hmm to be honest i think i only liked mikki's style.... smooth n chill but kept to the concept of hardstyle. after a while i discovered the wedancehard vids n i loved their styles n discovered i wasn't a fan of hardstyle... over time i shuffled more n more to hard trance n got my current style after about 5 months. ive been shufflin' for about 9 -10 months n the 1st 4 months i sorta had a melbourne/malaysian style. now i keep it to a calm complex style

I think i started about 5 months so far and well when your as big as me ( 6.3 ft tall 15 years of age) its very hard to balance myself out so it will take longer to get it down.

I am Pretty New to shuffling, and me personally I hate just being a noob when I take interest at stuff but hey every body has to start out somewhere. But yea, ever since I looked at some videos on youtube right after I moved to some Hard teckno or hardstyle, thats when I saw some shuffle videos obviously the one with Francis.

Sooo to get to the point on what I am asking
  • What did you feel and thought when you first started to shuffle
  • How long did it take to get to where you are now
  • How much time u spent learning one technique(like running man) before advancing

Its something to give us newbies insight on and something to refer to become a "decent" shuffler instead of getting discouraged of legendary videos on youtube yanno

dont think that shufflers like francis and mikki are legendary they only do an exsgerated RM, many mor people are much better like Cyko, when i first started i thought it would be easy but now that ive done a month and a half of intense practice every day i now know it will take a few more months to get decent at shuffling, and no i have never been discouraged and actually the support i have gotten has lifted my spirits- keep shuffling man

Well I'm kind of like a slow learner really so really I only got the hang of the RM quiet a whil ago. Well yeah it depends on how fast of a learner you are really. Now I'm trying out stuff like spins and jumps. Just practise and have fun!  Azn

Some shufflers with 100 views or 1k 2k 10k views are wayyy better than those 1mil view vids....

The people that are the best don't even post vids, or rarely post them. The kids that spend hours editing their vids, etc. are the ones with the views.
